Alicia in Glasgow

The 2nd of October

On the 2nd of October in 2007 I have landed in Prestwick airport in Scotland. I got my laguage, and happy to start a new life in totally diffrent city, went to get a train to Glasgow.
Finally after about 25 minutes of standing in the cold and rain, my train has arrived.

Hurrraaayyy!!!! That's me I thought. Unfortunatelly it was just the beginning of the new and unknown culture and people.

Thank God my english was quite good then, so I could communicate with the Scots. Of course the Scots that spoke english, not Glaswegian(the slang of the people living in Glasgow). The slang was really difficult to understand, well it sounds like a totally diffrent language.LOL. After about half an hour I have arrived at Central Station in Glasgow City Centre. I was totally lost...I did not know where to go,or what to do...Where Am I going to sleep tonight?Especially that it was really cold, and it was raining. I hate rain! I was already missing my Spanish sun...

Well, I have decided to go outside first and have a cigarette. My spanish cigarette. As soon as I have left the Central Station, the smell of the chips with vinegar has reached my nose.Bleeeee it was disgusting...I did not like it! I have had my fag, and guess what! I heard someone speaking Spanish!!!Ouuu yeah bebe, I thought, Here I am! It was a man, handsome man! I have quickly jumped in the front of Alberto (Yeahh, his name is Alberto, sweet Alberto..)asking him, where could I find a hostel. Euro hostel was just three minutes away from the central Station, the heart of Glasgow City Centre. I got a room, I was so happy!I have got a place to sleep!!! I wanted to go out, to see a little bit of this huge and beautiful city. After the shower and my dinner, I got so tired, that the only thing I was dreaming of, was the bed, the comfy, big bed. I fell asleep in seconds.
